Liverpool City Council is organizing a Business Breakfast event to show support for a community that is still recovering from racist riots that occurred last summer. Taking place in Walton on Friday, March 14th, at 8:00 AM, the event will be held at The Garden Café located at 5-7 County Road in Liverpool, L4 3QA. This initiative aims to bring together local businesses, provide essential support, and encourage community growth as Walton prepares for Everton Football Club’s departure from its long-time home at Goodison Park.
The breakfast is a component of Liverpool City Council’s UKSPF Business Support Service, which is a project funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority serving as the lead authority. This service is designed to assist both new and existing businesses in Liverpool in their efforts to grow and thrive. The Council is dedicated to making it simple for local businesses to engage with the authority and with one another. Networking breakfasts provide a relaxed environment for discussions, learning about available support, and building relationships within the community.
Attendees at the event will have the opportunity to engage in various activities, including speaking with their Neighbourhood Manager to learn about local events, networking with other businesses in the area, accessing fully-funded guidance for sustainable growth, understanding free recruitment and staff development programs offered by Liverpool in Work, as well as discovering information about funding for childcare and how tax-free childcare works for employees. Liverpool City Council acknowledges that the support landscape constantly evolves, so this event serves as an excellent opportunity to bridge any existing gaps and help local businesses thrive and contribute to the communities they serve
