Amen, originally from Eritrea, had recently been granted ‘right to remain’ status in the UK and attended St Thomas Aquinas secondary school in Jordanhill. Described by his sister as a kind and bright individual with aspirations of UK citizenship and careers in basketball, medicine, or engineering, Amen’s untimely passing has deeply affected those who knew him.
