Zhenhao Zou, a Chinese PhD student, has been labeled as one of the most prolific sexual predators in the United Kingdom, according to the lead detective on his case. Zou, 28, has been convicted of drugging and raping 10 women, with evidence suggesting there could be many more victims yet to be identified. He kept a trophy box of belongings belonging to his victims and filmed nine of the assaults for his own keepsake.
The Metropolitan Police’s Cdr Kevin Southworth stated that the video evidence indicates there may be up to 50 additional victims that they are eager to locate. Zou, who was studying mechanical engineering at University College London, was also found guilty of voyeurism, possession of extreme pornographic images, and false imprisonment. His crimes spanned across China and London, with seven rapes occurring in China during the pandemic, and four in London.
