Hidden, a nightclub in Manchester, is embarking on a “new direction” this month as it celebrates its 10th anniversary by undergoing a significant refurbishment. The club, located in Cheetham Hill, announced in February its plans to enter ‘Phase 2,’ which marks a new era for Hidden since its opening in August 2015. They shared the news on Instagram, stating that the refurbishment is a way to celebrate their 10 years of operation.
The renovations at Hidden include an increase in capacity by 50%, allowing the club to now accommodate 1,300 people. In addition to this, there are upgrades to the toilets and bar area. Other enhancements consist of a new exit near the smoking area, a revamped dancefloor in the main room, improvements to the lighting setup, and an upgrade to the existing Void Soundsystem. Operations manager Martin Moffat mentioned that these changes were made based on feedback from their community, aiming to provide better facilities, quicker bar service, and an enhanced clubbing experience.
To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Hidden will be hosting two parties this month. The first event, scheduled for Friday, March 7, will feature a headline show by Gilles Peterson, alongside Urbi and Obeka. The following night, on March 8, DJ EZ will take the stage as the headliner, with support from Shadev, Mattik, and Hanz. Future events at the Manchester club will include performances by Tasha, Effy, Pangaea, Coki B2B Loefah, INVT, Zenker Brothers, and many others. Tickets for Hidden’s 10th-anniversary parties can be purchased online.
