A woman’s death in Townhill, Swansea has prompted a murder investigation by South Wales Police, leading to two arrests. Leanne Williams, 47, was discovered in her home on Gomer Road on 27th February at 14:00 GMT. The police have confirmed her identity and are currently holding two men in custody.
Following a post mortem examination which revealed “significant injuries consistent with an assault,” Detective Superintendent Mark O’Shea expressed that the tragic incident has left the community in shock. The authorities are reconstructing Leanne’s movements from Monday, February 24, at 18:00 to Thursday, when she was found, to gather more information about the case.
At present, the police have stated that there are no additional suspects related to the investigation. Despite this, a police cordon is still in place at the residence on Gomer Road where the incident took place.
