BBC News reporters Nicola Haseler and Harriet Heywood covered a tragic incident at the Marsh Farm estate in Luton, where 19-year-old Nicholas Prosper admitted to shooting his mother, Juliana Falcon aged 48, and siblings Kyle Prosper aged 16, and Giselle Prosper aged 13 in their flat. The victims were found deceased on 13th September, and Nicholas Prosper pleaded guilty to three counts of murder at Luton Crown Court, along with other related charges.

An inquest at Bedford Coroner’s Court revealed that all three victims succumbed to gunshot wounds to the head, and officers discovered the grim scene at the flat in Leabank after being called at around 05:30 BST. Det Supt Rob Hall described the circumstances as “awful” when the officers arrived. Nicholas Prosper was swiftly arrested, and a firearm was seized during a search of the area surrounding the crime scene.

Following the murders, Cardinal Newman Catholic School mourned the loss of Kyle, expressing deep sadness over his tragic death. Similarly, Lea Manor High School was shaken by the news of Giselle’s passing, with the headteacher, Jess Pather, acknowledging Giselle as a model pupil who excelled in her studies. Both schools expressed grief and the profound sense of loss felt by all who knew and loved the siblings.
