Reflecting on the incident, Chelsea expressed regret in blindly following other parked cars, acknowledging it as her primary mistake.
The Peak District has recently been grappling with parking dilemmas, with incidents like the obstruction of road gritting operations due to around 200 parked cars reported on 11 January. In response to the escalating parking issues, calls were made on a subsequent Friday to unite Members of Parliament, local councils, and emergency services to address the persistent problem. Despite Chelsea’s inadvertent parking adjacent to a clearway sign at Mam Tor, she highlighted the lack of parking guidance and infrastructure as contributing factors to the challenging situation faced by visitors like her.
