The report highlighted a surge in rhetoric falsely portraying Muslims as terrorists or terrorist sympathizers, particularly following the Israel-Gaza conflict and the Southport murders. A government spokesperson expressed deep concern over the findings, pledging to eradicate anti-Muslim hatred and racism wherever they occur.

In total, Tell Mama recorded 6,313 cases of anti-Muslim hate in 2024, marking a 43% increase from the previous year. Most of these reports were verified by the charity, which noted a significant rise in offline incidents, with abusive behavior being the most common form of in-person attacks. The charity also documented incidents of physical assault, discrimination, and vandalism, primarily occurring in public areas such as streets and parks.

Tell Mama emphasized the need for coordinated action by the government to combat anti-Muslim hate and urged the public to come together against hatred and extremism
