Liverpool City Council’s Business Support Service is offering a unique opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs to be introduced to some of the successful start-ups in the city. The Meet the Entrepreneur sessions are free online events, which take place on Friday lunchtimes. They offer a chance for participants to find out how local entrepreneurs turned their ideas into viable businesses, how they overcame the challenges, and what they might have done differently.
The initiative aims to inspire future entrepreneurs in Liverpool by providing first-hand accounts of the highs and lows of establishing a start-up. Topics include opportunity identification, business development, networking, and resource management. Since the events are free to attend, there’s no reason not to check them out if you’re interested in taking the leap and starting your own entrepreneurial journey. Participants will also be able to ask questions and receive advice from the successful entrepreneurs during the sessions.
Each event focuses on a different case study, providing diverse and engaging insights from various business owners. On the 31st of January, the speaker was Graeme Long, from Cyclone Fitness Studio. On the 7th of February, the event featured Ashley Greggans, from Elegance Aesthetics. Kevin McGuire, from Just Juice Nutrition, spoke on the 14th of February. On the 21st of February, the spotlight was on Katie Latham, from Teacher Card. On the last session of the cycle, on the 28th of February, Katie Townsend from Arrow Gift Co shared her experience with the audience.
