A 49-year-old man from Hove who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been released by Sussex Police. The arrest followed the discovery of the body of 41-year-old Christopher Fox at a property on Upper Hollingdean Road in Brighton at approximately 10:00 GMT on 25 November. Fox was declared dead at the scene. The arrested man has been released pending further enquiries, with no further action to be taken at this time.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Detective Chief Inspector Mark Cullimore praised the community for its support and urged anyone with information concerning the case to come forward. “Christopher and his family are at the forefront of our minds as we investigate the circumstances that led to his tragic death and uncover the answers they deserve,” he said.
Police had been called to the scene by a member of the public who was worried about Fox’s welfare.
