Family of Henrietta and Eliza Huszti missing in Aberdeen make appeal

Two Hungarian sisters, Eliza and Henrietta Huszti, who have been missing since the early hours of last Tuesday, have had family members make a public appeal for help finding them. Searches by police involving dive teams, search dogs and helicoptors have been underway around the River Dee in Aberdeen since last week. The sisters are part of a set of triplets and are described as white and of slim build with long, brown hair. They have been living in Scotland for ten years.

The family issued a statement pleding for any help that could lead to finding their missing sisters. They said in part: “This has been a very worrying and upsetting time for our family. We are really worried about Eliza and Henrietta and all we want is for them to be found. If you think you might have any information which could help the police with finding Eliza and Henrietta then please pass this on as quickly as you can.” The women were last seen in Market Street at Victoria Bridge.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen the sisters or who may have private CCTV or dashcam footage to contact authorities immediately. Ch Insp Darren Bruce said: “We know that people across Aberdeen are also seriously concerned for the two missing sisters and I would again urge anyone with information which could help to get in touch with us. Extensive efforts remain ongoing in the area, with specialist officers continuing to search on the banks of the river, while door-to-door inquiries are also continuing at homes and businesses in the surrounding area.”

Ch Insp Bruce went on to add: “Even if it doesn’t seem significant, please pass any information on. Any piece of information could prove crucial.” The sisters have been missing for more than a week, and searches by police have focused on areas the immediate and surrounding areas around the River Dee
