Ray, from south London, was one of the first patients to receive Wegovy, a weight-loss jab, on the NHS last year. He has lost 14kg in five months and struggles with his weight. Despite the benefits, the NHS spending watchdog NICE has ruled that each patient can only receive Wegovy for two years. Additionally, only a small proportion of the eligible 3.4 million patients in England have access to the drug.
