In response, Shein said in a statement that “We categorically deny any allegation that our company is involved in forced labour.”

Some of Shein’s customers have also expressed concern, with a number of shoppers taking to social media to question the quality and ethics of the company’s production.

Despite the controversies, Shein’s popularity continues to grow, especially among young people who are drawn to the company’s trendy and affordable fashion. And as long as the demand for fast fashion remains high, companies like Shein are likely to thrive.
