A man known as Billy McNicholl was found dead in his home on New Year’s Day. William McNicholl, 63, had suffered head injuries and a single stab wound. Suffolk Police have announced that a woman in her 50s has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
Mr McNicholl was last seen on 23 December and lived alone at his home in Ipswich, in Hawthorn Drive. A post-mortem examination revealed the cause of death was a single stab wound. He was known by those who knew him as Billy McNicholl.
