Blood and Honour: Extreme right-wing group has financial sanctions imposed


The British government has made the unprecedented move to freeze the assets of far-right organisation, Blood and Honour. The neo-Nazi group has links to the skinhead music scene and is believed to be involved in terrorism. The Treasury has taken action against the group due to its activities promoting and encouraging terrorism, as well as making funds available for terrorists. This is different from proscription, which is when the Home Office issues banning orders on extremist groups.

The asset freeze has been extended to all aliases and affiliate groups, including Combat 18 and 28 Radio. As a result, UK-based individuals and organisations are prohibited from funding or providing financial services to these organisations. Blood and Honour was founded in 1987 by Ian Stuart Donaldson, lead singer of the skinhead rock band Skrewdriver.
