Scores of newlyweds have spoken of their distress and frustration following a two-year delay in receiving their wedding videos and receiving no refunds from videographer Sarah L Stanton. Ms Stanton, who operates in Gillingham, Kent under the name Wallflower Weddings Films & Content Creation, has yet to deliver the videos to over 100 people who enlisted her services. Some of these people have been waiting for more than two years now.
Ms Stanton recently stated that anyone who knew her was aware that she was not a scam artist after Ms Stanton was contacted for comment concerning these accusations.
Rich Smith is one of the people who employed Ms Stanton to film his wedding in June 2023, for which he paid her £850. Unfortunately, he is yet to receive the video from her and has given up waiting. Smith revealed that his wife was feeling saddened because they lost two people close to them, including her father, and that the video captures their last footage.
Ms Campbell, who got married in February 2023, has expressed that she saw no light at the end of the tunnel when it came to receiving her wedding video. She stated that Ms Stanton had been very responsive and attentive leading up to the occasion. However, she became unresponsive once the wedding had passed. Ms Campbell stated that Ms Stanton had shown her a sneak peek of the video when her grandmother was terminally ill, a clip that her grandmother saw just before dying.
Ms Stanton has asked her clients to surrender their hard drives so she can deliver the raw footage of their weddings. The videographer has made it clear that she will not edit the footage, and any clients asking her to do so will first have to sign an agreement releasing Wallflower Weddings Videography from any obligation to edit their final video or to pay any damages or take legal action in case she fails to deliver. Clients have accused her of seizing their videos indiscriminately. Despite requesting just the raw footage, some of her clients have failed to receive this from her.
