The family of Thomas Roche, a man who has been missing for three months, is hoping a new ground search may provide some information that could help find him. Mr Roche, 27, was last seen near his girlfriend’s home in Chester Close, Bletchley, on October 6th when he left the flat to go for a cigarette. His sister, Carly Roche, said that he had suffered a head injury three days before going missing in a bike accident. There have been no confirmed sightings of him since he disappeared. The family is hoping the newly intensified search will help find some clues which might lead to his whereabouts.
Several people teamed up with dogs on Sunday to conduct a ground search, and the charity Civil Air Support said that they have been carrying out search flights in the Bletchley area. Thames Valley Police issued an appeal to the public in October asking anyone with any information about the case to come forward, no matter how significant it may be. Ms Roche said that following the accident, the police and ambulance were called, and that her brother was taken to the hospital, but hospital scans did not take place. The injury could have played a part in his disappearance since he has not been seen since.
Ms Roche is often anxious and says that the family of missing persons live in fear for their loved ones. Thomas Roe’s disappearance has also been traumatic for his children. Ms Roche describes her brother as being very introverted, who likes being alone at times, but never would leave his kids. During previous searches, a can of Monster energy drink with his DNA on it was found. However, it was not possible to tell when it was abandoned.
