In the UK’s New Year Honours list for 2025, Gareth Southgate and Stephen Fry are awarded knighthoods, while Emily Thornberry is made a dame. Four former sub-postmasters who took the Post Office to court over the Horizon IT scandal are appointed OBEs for services to justice.
