Jazwell Brown appears in court charged with Milton Keynes murders


Jazwell Brown, 49, has appeared in court after being accused of fatally stabbing Joanne Pearson, 38, and Teohna Grant, 24, on Christmas Day. The two women were declared dead at the Santa Cruz Avenue block of flats in Bletchley, Milton Keynes. Soon after the police arrived at 18:36 GMT on 25 December, Mr. Brown was arrested.

In addition to murder charges, Mr. Brown was also charged with attempted murder of Bradley Latter, 29, and a teenage boy. Both survivors were severely wounded and currently in stable condition in the hospital. The incident initially made the authorities believe that the Staffordshire bull terrier dog had been killed in the event. However, the police later discovered that the dog survived.

Mr. Crossey, the magistrate, respected a moment of silence for the victims following Mr. Brown’s hearing. He has been remanded in custody for the next hearing, scheduled in Luton Crown Court on Tuesday. Mr. Brown is also facing charges of possessing a knife, blade, or sharp-pointed article in a public place and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.

Following the news of the deaths, the police have stated that they are extending their support to the victim’s families.
