Bristol stabbings: Max Dixon and Mason Rist’s murderers detained

Max Dixon and Mason Rist were tragically killed in January of this year, in a case of mistaken identity in Knowle West, Bristol. Four teenagers have now been sentenced to detention for life for their murders. Riley Tolliver, 18, and 17-year-old Kodishai Wescott were detained for a minimum of 23 years, with a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, who could not be named for legal reasons, being detained for life with minimum terms of 15 and 18 years respectively. All five were convicted of two counts of murder last month.

Mason and Max were killed after being wrongly believed to be responsible for bricks being thrown at a house in Hartcliffe earlier that evening on 27 January. The four teenage defendants spotted the pair while being driven around Knowle West by a fifth defendant, Anthony Snook, 45, who had been seeking “revenge”. Snook was later jailed for life and ordered to serve a minimum of 38 years. It is unclear what motivated the teenagers to attack the pair.
