Harlesden shooting: Woman killed named as Michelle Sadio

Metropolitan police have named Michelle Sadio as the woman killed in a triple shooting outside a church in Harlesden at the weekend. Officers found Sadio with serious injuries after being called out to reports of gunfire in Gifford Road. Two men in their 30s were also injured. One remains in a critical condition.

The church, the River of Life Elim Pentecostal Church, had been holding a gathering before the incident. The building and surrounding area remain cordoned off while police continue their investigation.

The sound of people screaming and what appeared to be fireworks were heard by some residents during the shooting. One local resident said he had heard five gunshots in a row. Local MP Dawn Butler, who represents Brent East, said the community had been devastated by the event. She added that some residents felt they needed to move, while others required reassurance that the area was safe.

The police have not yet made any arrests, and the investigation continues. Superintendent Tony Josephs has called for anyone with information to come forward quickly.
