I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2024 winner revealed

Danny Jones, the lead vocalist of McFly, has won the 2024 series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! after he received the most votes from the audience. Coleen Rooney took second place, while Reverend Richard Coles came in third. This year’s show was presented by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly and was filmed in New South Wales, Australia. ITV had assured audiences that the series would not include any politicians.

As Jones was announced the winner, he cried, describing it as both “amazing” and “surreal”. During his time on the show, he participated in various Bushtucker trials alongside Rooney and Coles. Despite being a controversial figure in the news after the Wagatha Christie case of 2022, Rooney expressed her pride at making it to the final. Coles spoke about his experience in the jungle during his exit interview, stating that it was far more difficult than he thought it would be and celebrated the incredible camaraderie of his fellow contestants.

Other celebrities that joined the line-up included Oti Mabuse, Alan Halsall, Barry McGuigan, GK Barry, Maura Higgins, and Jane Moore. Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough left after he was accused of not helping with tasks in the camp. Tulisa Contostavlos was the third celebrity to leave, followed by Melvin Odoom. In a shock twist, McGuigan and Higgins were the two contestants to leave on Thursday, with the former feeling sad that he was no longer in the running to participate in the popular “Celebrity Cyclone”.

The show had a relatively smooth and peaceful run, with contestants working together and getting along throughout the challenges. One unlikely friendship stood out, with social media star GK Barry and Reverend Richard Coles having several deep discussions, resulting in Coles jokingly referring to their friendship as a “bromance”. This adds to the show’s long-standing tradition of producing interesting duos, including George Takei and Joe Swash, as well as Jake Quickenden and Edwina Currie
