Boohoo, the fast-fashion giant, is currently being investigated by the police in Manchester and Kent after allegations of serious distress involving stalking and surveillance of current and former executives. The Greater Manchester Police stated that no arrests have been made as of yet but the investigations are still ongoing. The surveillance allegations were initially revealed by The Times, which stated that the stalking offences were against Boohoo’s co-founder and executive chair, Mahmud Kamani, chief executive Dan Finley and former boss John Lyttle.
Boohoo has not yet commented on the issue, stating that it was inappropriate to comment while the investigations were still in progress. The retailer has made the Information Commissioner’s Office aware of a potential surveillance incident occurring outside their headquarters in Manchester. The Greater Manchester Police have stated that the investigations into the stalking of distressing behaviour are ongoing.

Frasers Group also wants to install Mike Ashley on Boohoo’s board. Boohoo responded, saying that Frasers seems to have no intention but to disrupt its business review while serving its commercial self-interest.
John Lyttle had initially stepped down as Boohoo’s chief executive in October after five years to allow the company to continue with its major restructure and possible break up. Shareholders will decide on Frasers Group’s proposals for Boohoo at an extraordinary general meeting scheduled for 20 December in Manchester
