Liz Hatton, a teenage photographer from Harrogate, sadly passed away at the age of 17 after being diagnosed with an aggressive desmoplastic small round cell tumour in January. Despite her diagnosis, she remained determined to continue pursuing her passion of photography. Liz began a photography bucketlist appeal and captured some once in a lifetime moments before her untimely passing.
One of the incredible experiences Liz captured was a meeting with Princess Kate at an investiture in October. She spoke to BBC Breakfast about the encounter, which was a dream come true. Liz was able to snap some stunning photos of Princess Kate, which she no doubt treasured for the rest of her life.
Liz was an inspiration to those around her and beyond. She showed that despite the struggles and challenges we may face in life, we can still pursue our passions and make the most of our time. Her photography bucketlist appeal was a reminder to us all to cherish the moments we have and live life to the fullest.
