The mother of a young lady who passed away after escaping a police vehicle on the M5 has paid tribute to her “beautiful daughter”. Tamzin Hall, 17, from Wellington, Somerset, tragically died after being hit by a car under the acute care of Avon and Somerset Police between junction 25 at Taunton and 24 at Bridgwater shortly after 11 pm GMT on November 11. In a statement released after the hearing, Tamzin’s mother Amy Hall described her first-born as her “best friend” and said the death had left their family “devastated”. The opening of an inquest into her death heard Tamzin had been arrested and was travelling in the police vehicle that had stopped on the motorway.
