One of the nation’s favourite radio presenters, Zoe Ball, has confirmed that she will be stepping down from her role as Radio 2 Breakfast Show host come December. Delighted audiences were left saddened and intrigued simultaneously as Ball made the announcement recently.
Ball has had an impressive six-year stint as the breakfast show presenter, but with her dedication to family, she wants to focus on a new phase of her life. She will still retain radio work on the station; news on what that entails is to be disclosed in the upcoming year.
The presenter did not exit without promise of a satisfactory conclusion for her followers, however; her last appearance will be on Friday 20 December, in perfect timing for Christmas. Ball confirmed that her final broadcast would be light-hearted with fun events.
Since starting on the show in 2017, Ball has been adored by fans and cherished by the station. Her ability to inspire and energise listeners during their busy mornings will be missed. However, her replacement’s arrival and everyone’s fond memories of Ball will ensure that the show remains imperative listening on the airwaves for the foreseeable future.
