Harshita Brella murder: Corby residents react to investigation


The suspected murder of a woman whose body was found in the boot of a car over 100 miles from her home has left people feeling sad and confused. Police believe Harshita Brella was murdered by her husband Pankaj Lamba in Northamptonshire earlier this month. The 24-year-old’s body was discovered in Ilford, East London, and the suspect is believed to have fled the country. Lamba is currently still at large.

Aleksanders Nadejs, who lived in the same road as the couple in Corby, expressed confusion over the tragedy, stating, “I don’t understand how people can do something like that.” Prashant Odedara, who worked at a nearby convenience store, indicated that the couple visited the shop only once or twice a week and didn’t talk much about themselves. The shopkeeper explained that the couple were very friendly, yet very private. The working people were like any other, and their private life seemed to be exclusively theirs.
