The highly anticipated Glastonbury Festival 2025 has sold out in under 40 minutes, breaking records for ticket sell-out times according to event organisers. Fans who did not secure a ticket during the first round of sales will have another chance to purchase a ticket through a resale of any cancelled or returned tickets in the Spring of 2025.
The world-renowned festival will take place between 25 and 29 June 2025, before taking a year off in 2026 to allow the ground at Worthy Farm in Somerset to recover. Around 210,000 people attended the festival in June 2024, with tickets for the event selling out in under an hour.
The festival has implemented an automatic queueing system, prefacing the event, where fans needed to be online before the start of the sale with a valid registration number to purchase tickets. Organisers are calling for environmentally-friendly travel options as a combined ticket and coach package goes on sale.
General admission tickets cost £373.50, including a £5 booking fee, which increased by £18.50 on the previous year. Reports from the festival’s administration stated that “thanks to everyone who bought one and sorry to those who missed out, on a morning when demand was much higher than supply.”
The artists slated to appear at the 2025 event have yet to be announced, but previous performers at the festival have debuted some of the biggest acts in music including Coldplay, Dua Lipa, and SZA, with Shania Twain famously performing the Sunday Legends spot in previous years
