Wynne Evans and Katya Jones, a duo on the show Strictly Come Dancing, have spoken out after viewers pointed out what appeared to be awkward moments during their performance. During a performance, Jones seemed to decline a high-five from Evans, and later, in the show, Jones moved Evans’s hand from her waist. However, the two appeared in a social media video together, describing the high-five moment as a “running joke” between them. Jones later claimed that it was “complete nonsense” to say that when she moved Evans’s hand, it made her uncomfortable or offended her in any way.
The BBC declined to comment on the matter and reported that they did not plan any further actions. He then turned to Jones and offered a high-five, which she declined.
Later in the show, when contestants Pete Wicks and Jowita PrzystaĆ were waiting to hear their scores, Jones appeared to move Evans’s hand from her waist. However, in a later video on Sunday, Jones explained that the “hand incident” was a joke. She said, “even the idea that it made me feel uncomfortable or offended me in any way is complete nonsense. It’s quite absurd, actually. Now, can we just focus on how brilliantly he’s doing and what an amazing dancer he’s becoming?”

Their performance had a business theme, with Evans wearing a shirt and tie and Jones wearing a white sleeveless blazer and skirt. After the performance, Jones clapped and jumped onto the desk before hugging Evans with a smile.
Earlier this year, the BBC announced that they would have a member of Strictly’s production staff in rehearsals. This was part of measures introduced after complaints from former contestants
