Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur World announced on Friday that Cinnamon had fled her habitat and had entered the nearby woodlands within the zoo grounds. While she surfaced near a nearby road on Saturday, she has not been seen since despite teams working around the clock to find her.
The zoo speculated that Cinnamon was likely in the area of the Humbers, the surrounding fields, and the zoo, where there is plenty of food and numerous ponds. The zoo officials also disclosed that the authorities have been informed of her escape in line with the terms of their license. The zoo emphasised the bond that Cinnamon had formed with her keepers and said it was probable that she could be encouraged back into her habitat without physical intervention. The zoo spokesperson appealed to members of the public who might spot Cinnamon between 5 pm and 9 am British Summer Time to call a dedicated out-of-hours number rather than Facebook, where comments could be missed.
The search for Cinnamon continues, and the zoo officials expressed hope that she would be found safe and sound soon. They also appreciated the support and concern from the general public at this time
