In pictures: Stars at the National Television Awards


The National Television Awards, which took place at London’s O2 arena, saw numerous big names from British TV grace the red carpet. Hosts for This Morning, Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, were in attendance with the show being nominated for the daytime award. Meanwhile, Vicky McClure was also present and was up for the best drama performance award for her role in Trigger Point. Michelle Keegan, who was nominated for best drama performance for Fool Me Once, appeared alongside her husband Mark Wright.

Kate Garraway was triumphant as she won the award for best authored documentary for Derek’s Story, in memory of her late husband Derek Draper. Also in attendance was Sam Thompson, winner of the latest series of I’m A Celebrity…, whose girlfriend Zara McDermott was in the last Strictly Come Dancing lineup. Dancer Amy Dowden made an appearance as she prepared to return to Strictly Come Dancing this year following successful cancer treatment.

Another individual gearing up for Strictly Come Dancing is Tasha Ghouri, who was also at the event. Meanwhile, EastEnders stars Adam Woodyatt and Michelle Collins, better known as Ian and Cindy Beale, strutted their stuff on the red carpet. The Loose Women panellists were in attendance hoping to win the best daytime prize. Finally, a group of subpostmasters, along with Olly Murs, were on hand following the announcement that ITV drama Mr Bates Vs the Post Office would receive the NTA Impact Award for creating a “huge cultural shift”. Love Island’s Jessy Potts and Joey Essex, and former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan, were among the other notable guests in attendance
