Sir Elton John smiled and waved at cameras on Friday, as he arrived with his husband David Furnish for the premiere of the documentary film Elton John: Never Too Late at the Toronto International Film Festival. The 77-year-old musician had previously revealed that he had picked up an eye infection over the summer, which had left him with limited vision. The documentary will be shown on Disney+ in December and is billed as a portrait of Sir Elton, looking back on his life and his farewell Los Angeles concert in 2022.
Sir Elton revealed in an Instagram post that his eye infection was a severe one which had left him with vision severely limited in one eye. He announced that he was slowly healing, but he would require a substantial amount of healing and care to regain his sight fully. He praised his medical team and dedicated his recovery to the care he had received from his family.
Toronto International Film Festival also saw Jennifer Lopez at the premiere of her film Unstoppable, which is about a sports personality. The film is produced by Matt Damon and her soon-to-be ex-husband Ben Affleck, who was not present. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are in the news recently as the couple announced their divorce plans after two years of marriage.
