Lady Helen Wogan, the wife of legendary broadcaster Sir Terry Wogan, has passed on at the age of 88. Her son Mark made the announcement via social media and paid tribute to his mother’s incredible life, saying he imagines she and his father are having a vodka martini and hoping no one makes a fuss. Lady Helen and Sir Terry had been married for over 40 years and had been almost inseparable, spending much of their lives together in the Buckinghamshire village of Taplow. Sir Terry passed on in January 2016 at age 77 after battling cancer.
Mark described his mother as the epitome of style and grace, a woman who had love and kindness at her core. She was a woman with a strength and belief that had seen her through many of life’s trials.
