Clapton stabbing: Men released over mobility scooter rider attack

Police have released two men who were arrested on suspicion of murder after a disabled man on a mobility scooter was stabbed to death in east London. The Metropolitan Police said that Barnett’s family continued to be supported by specially trained officers and were being kept updated with developments.  His sister, Simone Barnett, described him as a “cheerful and caring” man.

The two men who were arrested, aged 28 and 21, have been released with no further action. The incident comes amid concerns over violent crime in the capital.
