Over 500 DJ Randall mixes have been released online via a fan-made archive, according to information published by DJ Mag. The archive, which was compiled by user Ok-Wishbone-7354, includes recordings from some of Randall’s earliest sets, throughout his career. The recordings include sets from AWOL, Metalheadz, Rinse FM, One Nation, Kiss 100 FM, and BBC Radio 1 amongst others. All 500 mixes have been categorised by event, with an additional folder for miscellaneous recordings.
Mixed by DJ Randall, the archive contains two recordings for Mixmag. The first was a live recording from 1994, taken from Mixmag’s Live Tour, which he shared with Jumpin Jack Frost, the second was a recording taken in 2016 at The Lab LDN, which was a retrospective of jungle, featuring tracks from 1992 to 1995.
The archive is available for download in multiple formats including Google Drive, Dropbox and Mediafire. The mixes are also available through a new music search engine called cosine.club, which recommends new music based on its similarity to the users’ favorite tracks. This archive is released as a follow up to the tragic death of DJ Randall in July, who was a pioneer in the jungle and drum ‘n’ bass genre.
Since his demise, many tributes have poured in to recognize his contribution to the genre including DJ Fresh, Paul Woolford, Nia Archives, DJ Zinc, and Andy C among others. To access the archive or read the official DJ Randall obituary, visit the source link provided below
