The Lab is set to debut in Lagos this coming Saturday, August 10, with a line-up of five performers including Icey, Sons of Ubuntu, Momoda, Dèjì, and Weareallchemicals. The event is set to be held at Element House, Lagos’ notable dance music institution from a team of “enthusiastic individuals who have jointly contributed” to Lagos’ music scene over the past 9 years. Nigeria’s top talents will be brought together by the team behind Spektrum Entertainment.
The Lab Lagos will display five stars who are specialized in Afro house and deep house continuum led by headliners Momoda and Icey who will bring their varied styles of house straight to the dance floor this weekend. Barcelona-based DJ Momoda with his soulful blends of Afro house and techno is taking over on the night after a tour across the world this summer. Lagos’ own Icey follows Momoda with his eclectic style of house with a residency at Element House which has been a long-reigning favorite.
The Lab Lagos is anticipating performances from trailblazing Afro house star Dèjì, fan favorite DJ Sons of Ubuntu, and DJ turned skateboarder and model Weareallchemicals. The event is set to be live-streamed by Mixmag featuring headline sets from Icey and Momoda this weekend.
