The new series, which debuts on August 21, will take viewers through the year-long process it took to create the six-member KATSEYE band. The docu-series also provides “unprecedented access” to the group’s “journey to global stardom”, according to Netflix.
Chronicling the notoriously intense K-pop trainee system, the show’s preview trailer reveals snippets of a dance choreographer demanding perfection and a commentator ruminating on how the people who created BTS have a vision to remove the ‘K’ in K-pop and make it global. The debut of KATSEYE happened in June, with the single ‘Debut’, accompanied by a second single, ‘Touch’, last month.
