Footage has emerged of Dave Grohl covering Tenacious D’s “Tribute” during the acoustic section of a recent Foo Fighters show in Denver. Grohl, who revealed that he played the drums on the song, sang a portion of it. Tenacious D received criticism earlier this year following an onstage controversy that led to an Australian senator calling for their deportation and the band cancelling their tour, stating that “all future creative plans are on hold”. Grohl dedicated a performance of “Times Like These” to Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello at Open’er Festival, whilst he has also joined Charli XCX’s viral “Apple” dance trend.
