Adele pauses show in Munich to show women’s 100m Olympic final

Adele has recently taken a break from her Munich residency to live-stream the semi-final and final of the women’s 100m Olympic races held in the Stade de France in Paris. During her ten-day residency at the Munich Messe arena starting from the August 2 to the August 31, Adele will put on a bespoke pop-up stadium show that accommodates 75,000 fans, marking her first shows in mainland Europe since 2016. Furthermore, her Munich residency is not the only set of shows she has on her schedule. She had just finished her weekends with Adele residency in Las Vegas recently.

In the middle of her show in Munich, Adele unexpectedly called a halt in the proceedings to stream the race. She told the audience “Let’s stop the concert, let’s watch the 100m race!” The women’s finals ended up being a historic moment for St Lucia’s Julien Alfred, who took home not just the victory but also her nation’s first-ever Olympic medal. After the race, Adele returns to the stage and continues her show in front of her audience.

Adele started her Munich residency with a 20 track-set backed by some of her greatest songs such as her breakthrough hits “Hometown Glory” and “Chasing Pavements” as well as tracks from her latest album “30”, such as “Easy on me” and “Hold on.” Despite this, she has recently announced that she has no intention of producing any new music anytime soon after “30”.
For those who want tickets to the show, tickets are still available on Ticketmaster. Additionally, it is now possible to purchase tickets for Adele’s residency for only €35 (£29.86).
In summary, Adele continues to entertain and spread the love of sports to her fans while performing for her Munich residency
