Alternative rock band Vended, featuring the sons of Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan, have announced details of their self-titled debut album, set to arrive on September 20th. The album features 13 tracks, including earlier singles such as “Am I The Only One?” and “The Far Side” alongside “Nihilism”. Produced by Korn’s Chris Collier, the album is available for pre-order now via the Vended website.
Frontman Griffin Taylor spoke about the album, saying, “There’s a level of aggression and emotion that’s missing from music right now, and we aim to fill that void on this album. It represents everything that Vended are about. ‘Fuck your ignorance, just grab ahold of it.’ You’re either with us or against us…welcome to Vended.” The band’s lineup includes Simon Crahan on drums, Cole Espeland on lead guitar, Jeremiah Pugh on bass, and Connor Grodzicki on rhythm guitar.
Vended will also embark on a headline tour throughout September and October, with live shows taking them to major cities including Detroit, Richmond, and Los Angeles. Tickets for the concerts are on sale now via Ticketmaster.
Despite the links to Slipknot through their father’s members, Vended insist that they have carved their own path in the music industry, learning not to rely on their dads’ fame. Whilst they won’t deny that they received more help than other bands, they say their fathers never wrote their music or taught them how to perform. “When people say, ‘Oh, Griffin’s dad’s probably showing him how to scream how he does’, Griff is learning on his fucking own”, Simon said in a previous interview.
The band’s debut EP, ‘What Is It/Kill It’, was released in 2021. The artwork for the band’s upcoming album is reminiscent of Slipknot’s self-titled debut album cover
