Jamie xx and Australian electronic group, The Avalanches, have collaborated on the single, ‘All You Children’. The single is from Jamie xx’s upcoming album, ‘In Waves’, which is set for release on September 20. ‘All You Children’ is a swirling club anthem with a pulsing beat. The release marks the second time Jamie xx and The Avalanches have worked together, following ‘Wherever You Go’ on the latter’s 2020 LP, ‘We Will Always Love You’.
In a press release, Jamie xx expressed his admiration for The Avalanches and their unique way of piecing together sounds. He says that collaborating with the group showed him new ways of making music. The Avalanches added that they are excited about the release of the track, hoping that it will be well-received.
‘All You Children’ serves as the fourth single to be released from Jamie xx’s upcoming album. The single follows previous releases, ‘Baddy On The Floor’ featuring Honey Dijon, ‘Treat Each Other Right, and ‘Life’ featuring Robyn.
Apart from his music releases, Jamie xx’s five-night residency, ‘The Floor’, is set to commence tonight in Los Angeles. In recent news, Jamie xx has mentioned that The xx is currently working on their next album, and the trio reunited onstage during Jamie’s set at Glastonbury 2024.
