Slash pays tribute to late step-daughter Lucy-Bleu Knight: “My heart is permanently fractured”

The passing of Lucy-Bleu Knight, the step-daughter of musician Slash, was announced on July 22nd. She died on July 19th at the age of 25 and no further details have been made public about the circumstances of her death. Knight, who worked as a manager at Electric Lady Management, has also been identified as a tattoo artist, with many examples of her work being shared on social media. Slash has now paid tribute to her, posting on social media that his heart is “permanently fractured” and he will always remember her for being a “beacon of happiness, laughter, creativity & beauty.”

The family has asked that social media speculation about Knight’s death be kept to a minimum as they deal with the loss. Prior to the announcement of her death, Slash had cancelled some gigs on his ‘S.E.R.P.E.N.T.’ tour, which he had been undertaking in support of his blues covers album called ‘Orgy of the Damned.’ The news of Knight’s passing has undoubtedly impacted Slash and his team during this difficult time.

In other Slash-related news, the iconic guitarist recently revealed that many of his early gigs had faded in his memory as a result of heavy drinking. He stated that many of these gigs were just for fun and he doesn’t recall any of them. Slash formed his blues covers band ‘Slash’s Blues Balls’ in 1996, and the group played gigs for a few years, including touring in Europe. Slash has undoubted achieved incredible highs in his career, however, it is important for him and his fans to recognise the difficulty he is currently experiencing as he grieves for his step-daughter
