‘Stalker 2: Heart Of Chornobyl’ has been delayed again

The anticipated release of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, a post-apocalyptic horror shooter, has been pushed back once again. GSC Game World, the game’s developer, announced that the launch, which was rescheduled for September 5, 2024, will be delayed by eleven weeks. Stalker 2 has been faced with numerous challenges throughout its development since being unveiled in 2010. Following GSC Game World’s dissolution later that year, the game was canceled.

The company resumed work on Stalker 2, which was first announced in 2010, in 2018, and has since encountered an ongoing conflict with Russia, as well as a fire at their Prague headquarters earlier this year that caused over £50,000 worth of damage. The game’s new launch date is November 20, 2024, for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Xbox Game Pass. The announcement was accompanied by a statement from the development team thanking fans for their patience and acknowledging that the additional two months would give them a chance to fix more bugs.

A new Stalker 2 Developer Deep Dive video is set to launch on August 12, featuring interviews and a “lot of new footage,” including quest walkthroughs, gameplay, and cutscenes. Last year, NME previewed Stalker 2 and noted that “it’s clear that Stalker 2 has all of the grit, atmosphere and brutality that Stalker fans expect. While the English voice acting leaves a lot to be desired and the build we play still struggles with bugs, we’re optimistic that the game will get more than Geiger counters buzzing at launch.”

Finally, the developers behind Fallout: London have released the full conversion mod for Fallout 4 after a lengthy delay
