Liverpool’s Adult Learning Service is offering information and assessment sessions for individuals interested in starting a new career. Starting on Monday, learners can visit either the Newsham or Granby Adult Learning Centres to have their skill level evaluated for a variety of vocational courses, including Maths and English. The programme is free for individuals who receive benefits or have an income less than £33,958.60.

The programme features several courses, including Caring for Children at the Entry and Level 1 marks, Early Years Practitioner Level 2, Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Levels 1, 2, and 3, Mentoring Level 1, Stress Awareness Level 1, Autism Level 2, Introduction to Beauty, Introduction to Reflexology and Aromatherapy Level 1, Certificate in Beauty Level 2, Diploma in Complementary Therapies Level 3, Maths Entry, Levels 1 and 2, and GCSE, and English Entry, Levels 1 and 2, and GCSE.

Individuals can attend assessment days on July 29 and July 30. The sessions will also open up again from Monday, August 12, and continue until August 15. Assessments take place daily from 9.30 am until 2.30 pm at either centre. They must complete an enquiry form on the council’s website to arrange attendance.

By attending the assessment, learners can not only understand their potential abilities in their chosen field but also start off on an apt course to further their career by possessing the necessary skills and knowledge
