The Pretenders add more dates to 2024 UK tour

Rock band The Pretenders will embark on a UK tour starting in autumn 2024, with new dates added for Liverpool, York, and Sheffield. The group had originally planned a tour for February and March 2024, but it was postponed as lead vocalist Chrissie Hynde had suffered a knee injury. The London Palladium stop has been extended, with the band playing there on three consecutive nights. Tickets for the new tour dates will be available on 26 July 2024 and existing tickets remain valid. The band group will perform at the Isle of Wight festival in 2024 and is currently serving as opening support for the Foo Fighters on some of their US tour dates.

Hynde recently lavished praise on fellow musician Taylor Swift, urging her fans to consider playing guitar and enjoy the company of the instrument every minute of the day. She made the comments after attending one of Swift’s concerts on her “Eras” tour. The rock band, which includes drummer Martin Chambers, bassist Nick Wilkinson, and guitarist James Walbourne, is known for hits such as “Brass in Pocket” and “Hymn to Her”.
