Police in West Yorkshire have confirmed that four adults and two children died in a collision between a car and a motorbike. The accident happened on the A61 between Wakefield and Barnsley in the early hours of Sunday afternoon. According to local sources, a Ford Focus and motorbike collided at around 3:55pm. The man, woman and two young girls in the car died at the scene, while the male and female on the motorbike also sadly lost their lives.
The accident occurred on a stretch of the A61 road between Staincross and Newmillerdam. The area has been shut with the investigation expected to take some time.
