According to DJ Akademiks, Canadian rapper Drake is currently writing his response to Kendrick Lamar. The two rappers’ feud reignited in March when Lamar released a guest verse on Metro Boomin and Future’s joint album “We Don’t Trust You.” In response to a previous collaboration between J. Cole and Drake, where Cole listed himself, Drake, and Lamar as “the big three,” Lamar countered, “Motherf*** the big three / N****, it’s just big me.” Akademiks revealed that he is in close contact with Drake throughout the feud with Lamar. He announced on his Rumble channel that Drake is sneak-dissing Lamar in his upcoming response.
The internet personality revealed that he cannot wait to hear the first sneak diss, and though he cannot disclose it, the first sneak diss Drake will receive will be very interesting. Earlier this month, Akademiks teased new Drake music, promising that it was “fye” and anyone acting like Drake was finished should bookmark his tweet in six months from now. The feud between Drake and Lamar has seen a number of celebrities take sides, with former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello calling the slander toward Drake “frustrating,” and Serena Williams joking that nobody should ever pick a fight with Lamar.
Drake’s last full-length album was 2023’s “For All The Dogs,” which received a two-star review from NME. Drake announced he would take a break from music to focus on his health in the hours shortly before the album dropped.
