The fourth season of music trivia panel show Never Mind The Buzzcocks will make its return to UK screens later this year, with Courtney Love and Beth Ditto among the guest panelists. Comedian and actor Greg Davies will host the show, as he has done since the series’ reboot in 2021. Davies will be joined by former Taskmaster co-star Sophie Willan as a team captain, filling in for Daisy May Cooper. The other team captain will be regular panellist Noel Fielding.
The high-profile musical guests joining the roster include Hole frontwoman Courtney Love, who will join for a rock episode, Gossip singer Beth Ditto, Spice Girl Mel B, and Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards. Never Mind The Buzzcocks will air on Sky Max and NOW TV.
“It’s the starriest line-up you could hope for this year on Buzzcocks,” said Sky executive Phil Edgar-Jones. “It has something to satisfy every musical taste from the ‘90s through the noughties via boy and girl bands right to the present day. Throw in a healthy dose of unpredictability and mad comedy and you’ve got the perfect fourth album.”
The series originally aired on BBC Two and ran from 1996 until 2015 with hosts Simon Amstell, Mark Lamarr and Rhod Gilbert. The show was rebooted by Sky in 2021, with Davies taking on hosting duties. In a recent interview with NME, Davies reflected on what the show meant to him. “What I love is that musicians are not arriving with their slick PR machines – they can’t hide behind a way that they’ve previously presented themselves,” he said. “All the guests we’ve had on were great – so natural and fun and I hope they relish getting to show a different side of themselves.”
