The highly-anticipated sequel to 1996’s classic tornado-film, Twisters, has finally hit theaters today (July 17). Starring Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell, the movie is about two storm-chasers who risk their lives in rural Oklahoma, and is directed by Lee Isaac Chung.
Twisters has been getting a lot of attention leading up to its release, with surprise appearances from Tom Cruise and protests from PETA activists. Additionally, the late Bill Paxton’s son James appears in a cameo in the film in honor of his father.
But film-goers also want to know about the movie’s soundtrack. The Twisters soundtrack features various country artists who reflect the Southern Oklahoman setting of the film. There are 29 tracks in total, including songs from Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, and Shania Twain & BRELAND.
The official Twisters soundtrack will be available for purchase starting July 19 via Atlantic Records. Fans can look forward to hearing songs like “Ain’t In Kansas Anymore,” “Out Of Oklahoma,” and “Boots Don’t.” While the film’s soundtrack may be highlighting country artists, it’s sure to be a hit with people of all musical tastes
