A shooting occurred at a political rally for former President Donald Trump on Saturday, July 13 in Pennsylvania. A man named Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania is suspected of firing rifle shots at the president as he spoke to the crowd. Although the former president was hit in the ear by one of the bullets, he was unharmed due to the swift actions of Secret Service agents.

The FBI is treating the incident as an assassination attempt and is investigating Crooks. Sadly, one person at the rally was killed, and two others were critically injured. Secret Service agents fatally shot Crooks to prevent any further harm.

In a statement released after the incident, President Trump thanked those who protected him and offered condolences to the family of the person who was killed and the two who were injured. He also expressed bewilderment that such an act would take place in the country.

Many figures in the entertainment industry have reacted to the news on social media. Rapper 50 Cent posted a song clip along with an image of the former president standing with his blood-stained face, adding that they were all in trouble now. Kid Rock also took to Instagram, posting a video of himself exclaiming that anyone who messes with Trump messes with him. Many other entertainers posted a flurry of reactions ranging from humorous to serious.

The FBI has assured the public that there are no further threats related to the event and that they are still investigating the motive behind the assassination attempt
